Frequently Asked Questions
-
Are there some pre-requisites skills that I need to have already to start this course?
This course has been designed keeping an absolute beginner in mind - to not just Carnatic Music but also the guitar.
So do not worry - if you're a beginner with a dream of being able to play those soulful melodies on your guitar in Carnatic style, this course is especially made for you! -
What equipments other than a guitar do I need to learn this course?
While it may not be obvious, I suggest using an electric guitar if possible as you go through the course. This is because the string tension on an electric guitar is lower and therefore more enjoyable when sliding/playing gamakaas.
This ensures that you also enjoy the learning process.
Apart from the electric guitar, you would ofcourse need an amplifier of some sort (if you're using an electric guitar) so that you can hear yourself play. However, if you're not able to afford an acoustic guitar at this point - no worries. Your motivation to learn should help you power through the course! -
What is the course fee for? Is it only the digital content, or do I also get any extras?
As one of the early users of the course, you get the advantage that I'm actively involved in seeing how you progress.
You can reach out to me over [email protected] for any questions, and I'm more than happy to join one or two sessions for us to interact 1-1 and gauge progress. This will be covered by the course fee - and my interest to teach!
